29112008 Junior Campfire

On 29 Nov 2008, Junior PIC held the SGM Junior Campfire.

The Junior members gathered at 3.30pm at BTCC and started with the ice-breaking game.

The next session was a presentation about current issues the members.

The English Session was about Treasure Hunting.

The Juniors then had the indoor games and quiz.

In the evening, before sunset, Junior PICs taught the members on how to pitch a tent.

At night time, the members sat in the circle around the campfire

doing a group performance, dancing and singing.

On the next early morning, the members were doing their morning exercise.

After exercise, the members went for their breakfast.

After breakfast, the Junior members played some indoor games.

16082008 Junior PIC Exchange Meet 2008

Total participants for PIC exchange meet on Aug 16 BTCC 9.30am registration.
Penang - 59
Perak - 40
Kedah - 34
Total 133 (11 grps Mandarin & 2 grps English)
















The Exchange Meet started at 09.30am with the registration of the participants.
PIC Swee Kee lead the Gongyo and Daimoku.






























The event started with the 2 cheerful MCs from Kedah followed by reading of GD message by PIC Lee Lee.

The Entertainment segment lead by the Perak PICs with a dance together with all the participants.















The participants had a photo session after that.

Penang PIC Chung Hee later presented a report of the annual Junior activity, and later followed by the Perak and Kedah PICs.

















Perak PIC later presented the Sensei Guidance and followed by Experiences from Penang, Perak and Kedah PICs.

The participants later proceed to the canteeen for lunch.
































After lunch, PIC Tina started with the Educator Sharing; title “Understanding Children from a Buddhist Perspective (in English)”
PIC See Yong lead the Junior Song Chu Sheng De Tai Yang’ Sing-A-Long with all the participants.














































The participants were put into several small groups having a discussion and doing some handicraft.































SGM YWD leader Boon See gave a speech and later the Kedah PICs shared the last entertainment segment with a dance-a-long song.
The event ended at about 3.45pm.

12072008 Junior Division Day 2008

On the 12th. July 2008, Junior Division Day celebration was held at Bukit Tambun Cultural Centre (BTCC). About 268 Junior members have participated in the event and performing on the stage that night.






























The event started at 7.45pm with the chanting of Daimoku and Gonkyo.
This was follwed by the Birthday Cake cutting by the Standard 6 Junior members.
The Penang Youth Band entertained the audience with their performance.











































Reading of Message by Junior members continues and the explanation the Significant of Junior Day by Junior PIC, Lee Ping.

Junior PIC, Alvin Tan presents the whole year Junior activities.

A Junior member gave his impression about SGM Junior Division.

Our Regional YMD Chief, Lim Chin Soon, gave a speech to the Junior members.

The Junior performers are having a good time.

The highlight of the day is the clown performance.

The members were having a good time watching the funny antics of the clown's performance.

The event ended at 9.30pm with the Junior members pose for the Group Photograph for the Junior Division Day 2008.
